2021 Covid-19 Update from Purdie Worldwide

A statement from Purdie Worldwide Removals & Storage Ltd’s Managing Director, Neil Purdie:

Good Day everybody, and a Happy New Year to you all. It’s certainly been an interesting start to 2021 to say the least! With the new lockdown coming into force across the whole of the UK from today, we’d like to take this opportunity to reassure our customers that not only will our moving service still be operational, you can also still visit your self-storage (phone for appointment first).

The most recent stay at home guidance states “activities in connection with moving home (including viewing a property),” are permitted as long as proper health and safety procedures are followed. – https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance/

Here at Purdie Worldwide, the health and safety of our staff and customers is of paramount importance. When operations recommenced in Summer last year, we implemented a wide range of safety procedures and protocols to ensure every house move is as Covid-safe as possible. We’ve staggered the start times of all our employees, provided multiple new uniforms, masks, aprons, gloves and gallons of sanitizer. Cleaning rotas are still being maintained and updated daily, with 10 new automatic hand dispensers installed on site. Track & Trace QR codes are installed in reception and the staff Covid-19 Handbook is constantly being updated and improved in line with current guidance.  As well as temperature screening our staff every day, we’re also asking each customer to fill out a Covid-19 mandate to ensure maximum protection. So please be rest assured, that although this new lockdown will have an effect on all of us, it will not affect the standard or quality of our moving service our customers have come to expect over the past 60 years. If you have any questions or issues, please don’t hesitate to contact us, either by e-mail: info@purdieworldwide.co.uk or by calling 01506 652792.
