Before you even get a quote for a move, you should be looking for the BAR Badge. The BAR, or British Association of Removers, are an organisation that sets the standards for the Removal and Storage Industry across the UK. By ensuring you use a BAR accredited company you’re making sure your goods will be insured, looked after and delivered on time, every time.
The British Association of Removers was formed in 1900 and represents all leading removals and storage companies throughout Great Britain. All members are inspected regularly to ensure that they meet the stringent standards requirements and follow good practice guidelines.
As a BAR member we observe the BAR Code of Practice by using approved contract conditions and liability. All the packing materials used by BAR members are recyclable. In the extremely unlikely event of an emergency you can be assured that all BAR members have a domestic emergency guarantee available to customers.
As Central Scotland’s largest independent remover we hold many accreditations from BAR including membership of the elite overseas and commercial moving groups. We are BS EN 12522 Household removals certified, BS EN 14873 Storage certified and have a BS8522 moving certification. We are also members of the IAM, The International Association of Movers. More recently we have been recipients of the National Guild of Removers UK Remover of the Year. Not forgetting the numerous BAR and West Lothian Business Awards we have won.
So if you are looking for professional Removals in Scotland or Secure Storage for your move. Look no further than Purdie Worldwide.
Purdie Worldwide are also proud members of the Which? Trusted Trader scheme. Which? Trusted Traders is an endorsement scheme run by Which? that recognises reputable traders who successfully pass an assessment process carried out by our trading standards professionals. Not just anyone can become endorsed and it's even harder to maintain your good rating. If a company has a positive feedback rating from Which! then you can be rest assured that you're in safe hands!
